Sell Gold Scrap to Make a Fortune

The requirement to sell gold scrap varies, depending on a person’s needs desire and circumstances. There are investors who buy and sell gold on a daily basis. Ordinary people might also have enough reasons to sell gold, though. They need to not only be aware of not only the ways and places to sell their gold or silver items, but also of their bullion or numismatic value.

Since the value of gold is always in an uptrend, people can make good profits if they decide to sell gold scrap. It is a term that includes any gold or gold containing product like bent, broken, unwanted, tangled jewelry, casting gold and grain, cluster rings, gold alloys, bracelets, bullions, chains, class rings, coins, bars, dental crowns, dust and sweeps, flakes, ingots, sheets etc. The condition of the scrap is immaterial. Scrap gold can also be found in computer mother boards, old cell phones, and scrap electronic boards. High grade scrap includes gold plated integrated circuits, connectors, fingers, pins, connectors etc.

Why Sell Gold

Emergency situations or circumstances which require funds immediately force a person sell old gold. Cashing in some assets to recover funds for financial requirements such as to pay bills, loans or buy other assets is common. Gold is also sold to utilize the funds elsewhere in a more profitable way.

How To Sell Gold

This depends on the types of gold to be sold and the how urgent the need of funds is. Gold prices are tracked daily since prices fluctuate according to supply and demand. The seller must be aware of the bullion and numismatic values of the gold. Standard bullion gold coins like the American Gold eagle get sold for more than or less than their base gold value. To sell gold silver coins which are rare and have a numismatic value above their metal value, the seller must have an extensive knowledge of grading and evaluation of rare coins.

Reputable established dealers have a standard process for buying gold. Auction houses such as eBay and Sotheby’s or larger online dealers make it possible to sell gold online. The prices may vary and have to be closely tracked. Some popular coins like Canadian Maple Leaf Gold coins, American Eagle coins, and sovereigns are always easy to sell. A gold bullion sell can result in a fortune because of the unique, stylized looks of such coins.

The dealer is first chosen and then the gold is put in a special envelope with proper description of the merchandise. It is registered, signed and then shipped to the dealer. The contents on opening by the dealer are videotaped for security and trust. The scrap is electronically weighed and tested for purity by electronic, scratch testing and X-ray fluorescence methods. After calibrating the purity of the scrap, an offer is sent to the seller either on a website or -by email. If the seller accepts the offer, then the payment is immediately made. If the offer is declined, the scrap is shipped back to the client.

Are You Future Banking?

Success in business takes time… and it also takes strategy.

There are many businesses that have been around for a number of years BUT have operated with the wrong strategy. If you strategy is wrong you wind up in an endless pursuit of your goals with little chance of achieving them.

In my seminars I often give the analogy that if you were to fly from Melbourne to London and you are one degree of course then you will wind up somewhere… it just won’t be where you had hoped.

A few years ago I was involved in the National Speakers Association as I had a strong desire to become a professional speaker. After careful observation though of a number of the more seasoned and experienced speakers I concluded that the strategy being taught was fundamentally wrong for the goals I hoped to achieve. Why? The core strategy being taught was the pursuit of speaking engagements were you might be paid anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 to deliver a speech (or training). Problem with that? Well… after you collect your money you are back to ZERO!

So many small businesses suffer from a similar flaw in their strategy.

Here is the real flaw… they are too focused on the immediate profit to be made on a new customer and not focused on the future profits.

What do I mean by that?

Well with the wrong strategy a new customer is worth whatever dollar amount you can sell to them on the initial purchase… and that is about it. With the right strategy a new customer has a value that may not equate to money in the back immediately but the total profits from that customer in the future will be substantial.

Marketing guru Dan Kennedy has often stated that most small business owners believe that the purpose of getting a customer is to make a sale (ie profit up front), when in reality the correct strategy must be that the purpose of making a sale is to acquire a customer.

This strategy is what is known as Future Banking.

It is a strategy where all of your marketing efforts are designed to acquire customers that have a future bankable value to your business.

So your initial sale to the customer may not make you money… you may just break even on them. The profits live in the back end of your business. The accumulation of large numbers of customers that have future bankable value is where the real wealth is in your business.

There are a few different ways to implement the future banking strategy. Lets consider two of them now:

1. Front End, Back End – The first way to implement the future banking strategy is through the development of a well thought out marketing funnel that has both front end products or services, and then an ascending array of back end products or services. The objective is to have new customers join your marketing funnel by taking up your front end offer and then progressively and systematically ascend them through your back end products or services.

2. Continuity Income – The second way to implement the future banking strategy is to develop a product or service offering that features continuity of income. In other words you charge your customers at frequent recurring intervals (ie monthly) until they tell you to stop. Often you will either lose money, or break even on the first month acquiring the customer and profit on the on-going fees. The Attraction Marketing Inner Circle is an example of this where you can join as a trial member for $1 today which then goes to $97 per month thereafter.

Business Coaching Exercise, The Company You Keep

You have heard the saying you are who you hang out with. We are so busy in our daily lives, doing the same routine day after day that sometimes we don’t even realize our surroundings. I probably talk to 3 people a week that are so miserable with their lives and just can’t seem to get out of the rut. My first question to them is who do you spend your time with? They almost always pause, like that is a weird question.

Let’s be honest misery loves company and misery loves you if you are miserable. So the question is how to I get out of this state of mind? The first thing you want to do is look at your day, your week, your month and who have you been spending time with? Are they positive or negative people? Do they have the same problems you do? Or do they lift you up and make you feel better? Who are the top 5 people that motivate and inspire you? When is the last time you talked to them? I know what you might be thinking, but I am so down in the dumps, who would want to spend time with me? Other miserable people right? Wrong? You absolute have to get in the company of people that are doing the more than you!

How do you do that? My best advice is to go to events. I always say your life and your business are directly related to the number of quality events you attend. Every time I have a lull, I go to an event. Actually I am so aware of this that I make sure I am at several events every week. Whether it is my own Association of Women Entrepreneurs event, a mixer, a chamber luncheon, or my favorite – a big 3 day event with big name speakers. This always lifts my spirits and helps me create a bigger vision for my future and the contacts you make are amazing!

This exercise was taken from the 30 Day Total Business Makeover:

Write down the 5 people that you hang out with the most, could be your mom your sister, your co worker, your bar buddy, then write down what you think they make in terms of income and what their mental attitude is positive or negative? I did this exercise with my business coach about 5 years ago and I was like Dang I need to get some new friends!

In all seriousness, if you find yourself stressed out, full of anxiety, you need to get out of hermit mode and into massive people meeting mode. I know you may not feel like it but I promise you when you do you will be glad you did!

How to Secure Your Power Supply in the Future

Moving into a hugely energy efficient world, who’s power supply will not always have the capabilities of fulfilling demand, we have been informed to expect an uncertain future, with the likelihood of increased power shortages, slumps and blackouts. With these shortages progressing in regularity as we move forwards in to 2015 and onwards it’s imperative that companies ensure they have an alternative power supply that will support their requirements during these instances.

This power uncertainly means its ever more important for companies to not be 100% dependent upon mains power supplies, that often come from over worked and outdated power stations. The perfect solution to this would be to implement an uninterruptible power system. In the event of a power shortage or blackout this system would kick into place, covering you critical load until the mains supply is available again.

These systems come in a variety of designs, from those suitable for infrequent use for shorter durations of times such as around half an hour, whereby if the mains supply is not available again after this period of time the systems will be shut down in a safe and secure manner. Although for many business’s the security of half an hour is not enough of a time buffer, they will need their critical power load to be supported for the full time of the shortage even if this is over the thirty minutes discussed above

This would be an instance whereby a standby generator would be required; this would work as an intermediary between the time covered by the UPS to the mains power being reinstalled. This backup generator would then power the UPS in the same manner as the mains power would until this power is reinstalled. The 24/7 society that we now live in has the expectations of technological availability at all times, whether this be online shopping or other non commercial endeavours should as our reliance on mobile phones, and this is why it’s imperative to ensure your power supply is protected. Not only is this important for those in the commercial sector but it’s also highly important for public sector business’s as well, for example hospitals, where it’s not only commercial interests at stake but possibly lives.

Standby generators are available in a variety configurations and are available either for purchase or long term rental. With so many options available UPS systems and backup generators should be at the four front of business owner’s minds to ensure their security moving into times where power output from the mains supply may become more and more unreliable.

Value For Money E-Learning Solutions Criteria

Everyone wants value for money – even from their e-learning solutions – but getting value for money can be confused with merely trying to save money, which is far from being the same thing.

In recent years, for example, we’ve seen the rise in the use of rapid authoring tools to produce learning content in-house by subject matter experts, rather than outsourcing the process to specialist instructional designers. Yet, said Matthew Lloyd, managing director of the e-learning solutions provider, Omniplex: “When you adopt this process purely to try to save money, you need to be wary of some issues.”

These include:
• Keep the learning project simple. Just because you’re saving money by producing learning materials in-house, don’t be tempted to over-extend the project’s remit.
• Beware of hidden costs. For example, Moodle – an open source LMS – costs little to install and run but users should not forget its associated maintenance costs.
• It’s still important to use the right tool for the job in hand – regardless of the cost.
• Don’t use too cheap a tool – and then get locked in to that tool so that you can’t migrate to a more effective one.
• If it’s not easy to find the resources you need once you start to use the tool or system, then that tool or system is no good for you.
• Make sure you don’t have to go back to the tool or system’s suppliers every time you want any changes to that tool or system. Opt for high quality rather than the cheapest option – and remember that enjoying good customer service from your tool or system supplier should not be a luxury.
• Bad (learning) design can cost you as much as – or even more than – good design. Eventually, learning materials produced using bad instructional design will cost much more than learning materials produced using good instructional design – even if the latter learning materials are, initially, costly.
• It’s what happens after the learning intervention – however that is delivered – that is key to the success of any learning initiative. Designers and developers need to find ways to stimulate the brains of those who use the learning materials, if that project is to be successful.

Lloyd was speaking at a meeting, in London, of the eLearning Network (eLN) – a non-profit UK-based organisation run by the e-learning community for the e-learning community.

Lloyd’s summary proved popular with the eLN delegates but – as fellow speaker Cathy Moore, of Indiana, USA, pointed out – people don’t do what their employers want them to do because of one, or more, of only four factors: knowledge, skills, motivation and environment. Learning solutions can only affect the first two of these factors. If there are motivation and environment issues, then no amount of learning programmes in isolation will help to resolve them.

Relationship Marketing – How Creatives Are Changing the Face of Business

Someone in a recent workshop talked about how life is full of surprises. The Inner Circle Conversations I hosted this summer were one of those surprises. The richness and depth of those conversations made them well worth while, and reconnecting with my “inner circle” clients created amazing sparks all around.

Carly Goldsmith, part of the Inner Circle Conversations became a client at her private Creative-Conscious Business Retreat with me last spring when she launched her business, Carly Goldsmith Coaching. Our relationship actually began long before, evolved into the retreat, and continues to deepen and enrich both of us now.

Just like me, Carly is very creative. My own journey was filled with lots of hard knocks, and being able to guide very talented “creatives” (like Carly who’s a real superstar) into building strong, healthy businesses through relationship marketing tools, faster and with less pain than I had to go through, generates a ripple effect that expands my work exponentially. It’s deeply rewarding for me is to witness Carly creating these types strong, healthy relationships with her clients in her growing business now.

Creativity, like relationship, is generating “value with integrity” something that has been missing in business for decades. As a creative though, my innate talents were really dismissed and de-valued in favor of my business savvy. Over the years, it did a number on my belief systems, and I actually carried that with me when I opened my own business, and created a delay in my success with integrity.

Many creative business owners tell me they can relate to my story. This is what moved me to lay out a process that guides creative business owners through the relationship model, which feels really good for them.

Because creatives need grounding, “above” and “below” the surface elements are integral parts of this process. Creatives need solid, proven tools that are adapted to align with your nature, which is very different from the tools and nature of traditional business. This adaptation is what allows you to create and re-invent a successful business that makes a big difference for its clients, and makes a good living for you, its owner.

The whole process is framed in relationship, which is how I’ve been so successful in corporate, medium and small businesses for over 20 years now. I’ve crafted it so that the creative can really relate to it, and feel good about the give and receive flow in your business.

There will be many ways that you can access and apply pieces of the process in the upcoming weeks (watch for details), and today I’m sharing with you a high-level overview of one of the most challenging phases, and how relationship marketing supports you, a creative, in growing your business in a way that you can feel good about.

Deepening the Relationship
As a creative, you “get” that when a relationship is not moving, it’s stagnant. No matter how strong your client relationships are, by nature, the relationship must stay in motion.

Many creatives share with me that they are challenged to understand how to move the relationship into the next “right” level, and be discerning about what clients really need to continue growing with you.

Often, this challenge brings with it an anxiety about income (which generally indicates that you’re not dealing with your Authentic Self, so it’s a signpost gently guiding you in a new direction rather than something to be scared of), invites a “too” strong an attachment to certain clients, opens worry and self-doubt around your marketing and service skills, and clouds and confuses where your business really serves best. Of course, all of this will create misguided connections with your clients, affecting the integrity of how you move forward.

If any of this resonates for you, pay attention to learn more in upcoming articles, get access to relationship marketing tools, and begin to walk the talk that’s really in your heart. This is the key to growing a business that serves you and your clients. And this is exactly how you as a creative can be part of the movement that is business by storm right now.

Hire Professional Movers and Enjoy Peace of Mind

If you want your relocation process to be totally hassle free and smooth, the only option before you is to hire services of professional movers to do the job for you.

Spending time in choosing the best professional movers to take care of your valuable possessions can be a daunting task. Here are some tips to help you.

Get feedback through reviews

Look at websites for third-party reviews of local movers instead of a company’s own site which may not represent negative experiences. Movers that have positive third-party reviews can be short listed for your work.

After short-listing good movers, call them for quotes. Calling them in person will give you a feel about their level of professionalism. Most professional movers would like to visit your premises to assess the type of service required and to give you accurate quote for moving charges. Get estimates in writing with details such as date of moving and the address of new location for move.

Discuss moving process

Compare quotes of different professional movers and call one which has better third-party reviews than others. Discuss various tasks with the mover and clarify what you will be responsible for in the entire process of moving. It is important to understand what everyone is expected to do through moving process before signing a contract.

An important consideration in hiring movers is to confirm whether the mover is licensed, insured and ready to provide full insurance coverage for your belongings during transport. You should also verify that the mover is fulfilling entire federal and state requirements pertaining to moving services.
